Why can't you create a battery that LASTS?!!?! They have a lot of great technology and have cool products, yet they can't create (or couldn't create since the new Macbook Pros have the batteries built in) a battery that lasts for more than a year. :( :/
I bought my Macbook Pro in 2008. My battery lasted for a little over a year before the battery life began to dwindle. It wouldn't hold a charge for longer than 30 minutes. So I replaced the battery (for FREE) at the Genius Bar at my local Apple store because the battery was still under warranty.
I never leave the computer plugged in too long or too often because I know that can drain the battery life. I also try to calibrate the battery once a month. I even have reminders on my iCalendar so I don't forget.
I replaced my original battery on February 3, 2010 and now
the NEW battery is holding a charge for 30 minutes or less!!!!!!!!!!!! It worked for about 3 weeks and then stopped holding a charge! I didn't overcharge it or do anything else to it.

So now I'm going back to Apple tomorrow to figure out what the problem is. :( I really love my Macbook Pro computer and am glad I bought one, but this battery situation is very frustrating. *sigh*
